The Restore Centre opened in 2012, with the provision of a shop on Debden Broadway. The idea emerged out of conversations with the council, as we asked them what the church could best do to serve the local community.

Since then we’ve become a well-known community hub in Debden, supporting hundreds of people to find their way through various issues, from alcoholism to homelessness to mental health, and connecting them with partner organisations and services. We have also been a vital place of safety and welcome for those struggling with isolation and loneliness, as well as providing opportunities for community engagement and ‘giving back’.
