On Sunday 14th May we woke to rainy weather, but it blew over and the Loughton Town Council Fun Run (part of the Loughton Festival) took place in glorious sunshine. There was a ‘fly by’, by the air ambulance, and the fun run raised £1,290 for the Mayor’s charities, which included the air ambulance and the Samaritans.

We had been asked to provide a refreshment stall and had some great home-made cakes for sale, which were so appreciated that people came back for slices to take home, and there was even a recipe request.

As ever, our thanks to our amazing volunteers

We raised over £50 for the Centre, and really enjoyed the morning.

Our thanks to Asier Jon Odriozola, Carol Davies’ husband for the photos.
